GOP lawmakers want to exclude gay students from anti-bullying bill
A pair of Republican state legislators has introduced a bill that would remove protections for gay, lesbian and transgender students from an anti-bullying law passed in 2007.
State Reps. Jason Schultz, R-Schleswig, and Matt Windschitl, R-Missouri Valley, sponsored the legislation to remove sexual orientation and gender identity as definitions used for purposes of protecting students in public and nonpublic schools from harassment and bullying.

I find their rational weird. What has safety in school got to do with same sex marriage.
I suppose if they make it open season on kids that will possibly make adult paranoia more acceptable in their minds.
I am a 62 year-old transwoman who has ben married for 40 years+ to a wonderful woman who knew my issues within 3 months of marriage. We had 3 children and so far 2 grand kids and no issues with my gender change. I am and have been a legal female for over ten years.
This info is just to let you know I have experieced many aspects of the discussion.
