Tips-Q Privacy Policy
We take the privacy of our users very seriously. Our privacy policy is simple and straightforward:
- Tips-Q.com does not share user identifiable information with third parties.
- Tips-Q.com operates on a dedicated server. Our server logs are not available to our service provider or any third parties. While the server logs do indicate the IP addresses of individuals accessing the website -- and could be correlated to individual posts -- the logs are rotated over a five day period and then deleted. Server logs are not archived in any form. Therefore, we do not retain access data older than five days.
- Cookies are not required to browse the Tips-Q.com website. Users may choose to accept a cookie in order to effect a persistent log-in. A session-only cookie might be required to register. In the course of serving advertisements to this site, third party advertisers may place or recognize a unique cookie on your browser. Most browsers allow you to reject third party cookies.
- We do not send unsolicited email. When entering comments to an article or blog, users may provide an email address in order to subscribe to the comment thread. Tips-Q will never display that email address nor will we provide it to any third party. We do not contact registered users or commenters unless they have explicitly subscribed to receive updates. Registration does not provide that consent.
- We may be required to provide information pursuant to a lawful subpoena under force of a court of competent jurisdiction. However, we will make a reasonable effort to contact our user by email, in advance of compliance, in order to provide them with an opportunity to enter an objection.
